Camps and Retreats 2023

Dear Sister Connection Partner,
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”
The Great Commission is an important reminder we should be sharing the Word of God with people from every corner of the world, and that we never have to walk that path alone. I wanted to share that passage with you because it connects directly with why Sister Connection holds camps and retreats every year.
Camps and retreats rejuvenate the spirit of the widows and orphans. It is an opportunity for them to reconnect with God and others who understand their struggles. Please read the quotes below from widows who have attended camp.

Camps are taking place in July this year, a month earlier than usual. That means we have a little less than 2 months to raise the funds to send widows and orphans to camps. The fundraising goal we need to meet is $80,000. As of today, we have raised $4,600. The cost of attending camp has gone up from $35 per camper to $40. This is due to the increased cost of fuel and food.
Please prayerfully consider making a gift today to send these single mothers and their children to camp in July.
